Azuero is the biggest peninsule of PANAMÁ.
This region is conformed by: Herrera, Los Santos, and the south side of Veraguas
province. ( See Map LINK )
This tree provinces have a population of 395036 people, that represents 13% of the total population
of our country.
Central provinces (AZUERO) maintains the richness and enchantment of our folklore.
In "La Villa" of Los Santos, there is a historical past that brought this town in to a Heroical City; when a "campesina"
named Rufina Alfaro took of the arms against the spaniards soldiers who governed the town. She proclaimed a meeting with all
the citizens ( Nov. 10 of 1821 ) and since then it was declared the first claim for liberty from Spain in América.
